Japan: X-2 stealth fighter by Mitsubishi was unveiled.

A demonstration unit of the X-2 stealth fighter made its debut Thursday last week, with the Japanese-built experimental aircraft promising greater maneuverability than other stealth planes.
The jet will take its maiden flight the week of Feb. 15 or Feb. 22. Designer and builder Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will hand it over to the Ministry of Defense's Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency at the end of March. The X-2 is under development as the government prepares to replace the F-2 fighter, due for retirement around fiscal 2028.
The new plane will undergo roughly 200 hours of test flights. A decision on whether to manufacture it in Japan or launch a joint international development effort will be reached by fiscal 2018.
As a stealth aircraft, the X-2 incorporates radar-wave-absorbing material and a body designed to avoid detection. Thrust vector systems lend to its heightened maneuverability. The agency will test stealth, flight performance, control systems and other technolo…

China smartphones 2015 market share: Xiaomi 15.4%, Huawei 14.2%, Apple 11.3%

Samsung Electronics Co. saw its presence in the Chinese smartphone industry fall on-year in 2015, data showed Friday, as local players continued to garner larger slices of the market.
The South Korean tech giant, which stood as the No. 3 player in the Chinese market in the fourth quarter of 2014, was not included in the top-five bracket for the October-December period of last year, data compiled by industry tracker Strategy Analytics showed.
The result is significant as Samsung led the global smartphone market last year by selling 391 million units, far outpacing Apple's 231 million units, with their respective market shares reaching 22.2 percent and 16.1 percent.
Industry watchers said Samsung's weak performance in Asia's No. 1 economy is attributable to the strong performance of Chinese rivals.
Xiaomi led Chinese smartphone sales last year by posting a market share of 15.4 percent. Huawei Technologies Co., another China-based tech manufacturer, followed with a ma…

Calendar Year 2015 Global Smartphones Shipments market share: Samsung 22.7%, Apple 16.2%, Huawei 7.4%, Lenovo 5.2% and Xiaomi 4.9%

Despite Samsung still number one smartphones vendor globally with 324.8 million units shipped in 2015 , just grew up 2.1% compared with sales in 2014.
Apple went up with a 20.2% YOY Growth keeping the second spot worlwide with 231.5 millions units shipped.
The difference between both is a BIG 40.30% more shipments of Samsung than Apple.
Huawei still growing with an extraordinary 44.3% YOY Growth. The company shipments were 106.6 millions units WW instead of 73.8  million units last year.
Lenovo and Xiaomi had a very interesting growing too, 24.5% for the first and 22.8% for the second in YOY Growth comparison.
However Lenovo and Motorola together did not go well with a minus -21.1% YOY growth. Sad for the Motorola brand that is not coming anymore in new Lenovo devices starting 2016.
It clearly seems the chinese vendors did a tremendous job in 2015 affecting both Samsung and Apple smartphones sales.  They have also relegated LG to no place at this time.
