USA The New World Trade Center in New York.



Soaring above the city at 1,776 feet, One World Trade Center will be America's tallest building - and an indelible New York landmark. Designed by David M. Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the 2.6-million-square-foot building will include office space, an observation deck, world-class restaurants, and broadcast and antennae facilities.

Begun by Silverstein Properties in April 2006 and taken over by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, construction has accelerated in the last year.   

An expansive public lobby will be topped by a series of mechanical floors, comprising the base level of 1WTC.  Above this base will be sixty-nine office floors, including two television broadcast floors, mechanical floors, and two restaurants. Ecuador: Pacific Refinery negotiations building funds from China, advancing.
Negotiations for China's participation in the Pacific Refinery , Ecuador and Venezuela plan to build, are being finalized and will convert the Chinese shareholders of the work, said Monday in Brasilia Foreign Minister of Ecuador. 
"They are virtually complete agreement" for China's participation in the refinery, as well as funding from that country to Ecuador, said Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño.
 "In relation to the refinery in the Pacific, we are very happy to know a great willingness of China to participate in the financing, possibly as a shareholder," Patiño said, noting that "China is keen to petroleum." 
"We are hopeful that this participation actually materialize (in China) and we can begin construction firm in the coming months" of the refinery, Ecuadorian and Venezuelan initiative, he said.

SONY Hayabusa (LT29i) next Android smartphone, with a  a 7m.m case.

 Said to be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the LT29i, aka the Hayabusa, is pegged with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset with an upgraded graphics processor unit. The battery is listed as being 2,200mAh, which puts it slightly above most of today's Android smartphones. As impressive as this all sounds, consider that Sony is rumored to squeeze this into a 7mm case.
What's more, BriefMobile is reporting that the LT29i will feature a 4.55-inch 720p HD display and boast a 13-megapixel camera with high dynamic range video. For Sony it would be its largest screen and highest-resolution camera so far. 
Expected price of 493 euros ($650 U.S.)

Nokia has a fresh two-minute spot for its PureView 808 smartphone. It was filmed using the device's jaw-dropping 41-megapixel camera.
It can capture images in either 5-, 8- or 38-megapixels, as well as record and play video in full 1080p resolution. The phone is available only in Europe. No word on when it hits the U.S.

Microsoft joint venture with Barnes&Nobles investing $300 million. To ditch Android for Windows  8 ?



The plan is to spin out the "Nook" e-reader business from Barnes & Noble, along with its College business.
Microsoft's $300 million investment is worth a 17% stake in the new company, which means it's valued at $1.7 billion.
Amusingly, Barnes & Noble's entire market cap was $792 million at the time of the investment.
Barnes & Noble's stock is up 80% in pre-market trading.Barnes & Noble will own the rest of the company, and the new tablet focused company will still have a relationship with Barnes & Noble bookstores.

Huawei announced a partnership with Intel to “advance the development of interoperability testing and deployment of LTE TDD solutions.”

In a statement, it was said that the venture will “utilise Huawei’s expertise in LTE TDD network infrastructure technologies and Intel’s innovative and cost-optimised mobile communications platforms to expedite the maturity and development of LTE TDD.”
