RIM’s PlayBook picking up early sales.

eWeek reports that RIM sold 250,000 PlayBook tablets in half the time it took Motorola to reach the same level with its competing XOOM device, citing figures from RBC Capital Markets.

 It was noted that sales have been “steady since launch.”
